There are things to consider and look at closely before making that commitment.

1.If you are thinking about a relationship or getting married:

It's important to know that some men are very close to their family. You should find out if he expects you to interact with them in a warm and friendly manner. Or just being cordial to them is enough for him. If your don't like a family member that he's close to, especially his mother, this could become an issue between the two of you that leads to conflict. Learning about a man's upbringing and his family, will prepare you for a better relationship with him. It can help you decide if you want to marry him.

2. They're less complicated:

Men are usually easier to understand than women. Unlike women they don't border on being mysterious! They basically lay their lives out like an open book. Of course, I'm not talking about men who purposely try to deceive. Most agree that men tend to be less complicated to figure out than women.

3. For most men, a woman's looks is a big thing:

Men are generally attracted to women on a purely physical level. They are moved by what their eyes see. So, he's probably with you because there's a physical attraction. If you are a special person to him, you have a good chance to get to know him in an on-going relationship that can be develop beyond the initial stage of the  physical attraction. If physical attraction is all there is, it may not be enough long term to keep the two of you together.

4. Make sure you know how he feels, what he thinks:

What are his feelings about you having a career? It is not a good idea to hook-up with a man that has an issue with career orients women, if this is something that's important to you. Are you expected to work? What about money? A man who is frugal and watches even the pennies he spends, would stifle a free spending woman. What about raising children? Does he expect the responsibility of caring for the children to be mostly on you. What about the household chores? Does he want you to maintain the home by yourself? How about the way you spend your time? etc,. Some men don't want their woman to have friends or outside interests. You need to know if you are marrying the type of man that expects most of your time to be centered around him, and the rest of the  time he wants you to spend at home..These are pertinent questions that a woman should know about a man, before she makes a commitment to a relationship or marriage.

5. Is he able to open-up to you?:

It's important to discover if your man can emotionally open-up to you about things. If you have to poke and pry him open like an oyster, and wring him out like a wet dish cloth to get him to talk to you and share his feelings, then you have to decide if this is something you can accept about him. But if being able to share your feelings and talk to each other about things is important to you and a need for you, then you have to be willing to wait until he can open-up to you. Or accept him the way he is, after time has passed, and he's still unable to meet this need you have for him to be emotionally available to you. It's either accept this about him, or look for someone who can fulfill your need.

6. Men are not known for their patience:

There are exceptions of course. Unless you are one of the lucky ones, that has a man with the patience of a saint, be prepared to accept this flaw. Patient is not a character trait that many men possess. If there's something bugging you, tell him! Most men will not repeatedly try to figure out what's bothering you. If there's a problem between the two of you, they will want it resolved quickly. Don't waste your time sulking about an issue.  Men don't have the patience to solve the mystery of what's bothering you. Speak out! Avoid trying their patience.

7.He likes to see you look good

Even though men can be untidy, they like to see women look good. A man likes his woman to dress-up for him, especially when you are entertaining guests or there's an occasion when you are going out together. He wants to show you off to others.
